BENZ & JILLA – “Memories Are Made of This” Show

I was invited to do a piece for the “Memories Are Made of This” Show at MunkyKing Store LA. I did sent “Benz & Jilla” to attend at this great event, i’m sure they will have fun there together with Super Cooper who celebrate his 13th birthday today! :] “Benz” loves to wandering around in green plains and does enjoy the the warm summer breeze with his little pull toy named “Jilla”. Benz & Jilla are made out of brass and sapele mahogany wood with a bees wax finish. This is a one off piece, signed & numbered by embossing and you can adopt them today at the show if u like!

Congrats to Cooper! I can’t fly to LA so i’ll carve some more wood chaps here in my studio but if you’re in the area be sure to head over to Munky King Saturday August 18th to meet my “Benz & Jilla” and see all the amazing artwork from the participating artists. Hello Everyone!This is Super Cooper and I am turning 13! To celebrate, I am curating my 3rd annual birthday art show called “Memories are Made of This.” It is an art show based on childhood memories. It will be hosted at Munky King Melrose as their last art show! This show will benefit the Los Angeles Children’s Hospital 4W Supportive Care Committee and the CHIME Preschool Inclusion Program. There will also be live painting by some amazing artists, great food, and lots of fun! The show date is Saturday, August 18 from 4pm – 8pm.

SWISS CHARACTER DESIGN SHOW – Recap & Release

Last Saturday i was taking part at the “Swiss Character Design” Show at BuroDiscount, Zurich with new toy series of mine. It was great to meet and chat with some local toy designer and toy lovin folks! Later a few shots of the opening night and if you are in the area, be sure to check out this show till the end of the month! For all my overseas readers & peoples who couldn’t attend the show i decided to grab a few of my wood toys and resin weebles after the show to make them available at my onlineshop for you!

SCD SHOW – New Resin & Wood Toy Series

I will take part with a lot of new wood and resin toys at the “Swiss Character Design”show at burodiscount in Zurich. The opening night will be on Saturday 9th of April @ Buro Discount, Zurlindenstrasse 226, 8003 Zurich. So if you in the area be sure to drop by, say hi and grab some finest swiss plush, resin, wood, & vinyl toys!

I worked on three new series for this show and on two larger wood figures. If you follow me on fb, flickr, instagram or twitter you already stumbled over a few sneak peeks of my new toys. I’m pretty happy how all the series turned out and hope you will enjoy them too. Had fun shooting these toys in the woods & the water, see more and larger photos on flickr. Tonight! tonight! It’s the night to view the premiere of ART OF TOYS show at TASTY Gallery and meet many talented artists. Show opens tonight (6-10pm) visit 7513 Greenwood in Seattle!

I would love to be there by myself, but i had the chance to send over six of my HEARTWOODS (3 Maple & 3 Walnut) to hold the fort for me there! :] Be sure to visit this show if you are in the area, there is plenty of fresh resin & vinyl by Jon Malmstedt of Ramapage Toys and other local artists as well! I will post more pics soon!
